"Not imported. Inherited."
"I grew up watching the mountains give everything they had. I started this business so the world could finally receive it."
I was born in Ghanche — a district where the Karakoram mountains don't just exist in the background, they define everything. The air is thinner. The water runs colder. Every living thing that grows at that altitude carries a concentration of life force you cannot replicate anywhere else.
Growing up, the mountains weren't a postcard. They were my playground, my school, and my pantry.

Founder, Savor of Baltistan · Ghanche, Gilgit-Baltistan & Islamabad
I watched my family harvest apricots from trees that had stood for generations. I saw the resin — what the world calls Shilajit — seeping from the ancient rocks high above the valleys during the summer thaw, collected by those who knew exactly where to look and how to handle it with respect. I ate walnuts cracked open in stone courtyards, and honey harvested from hives built into cliff-faces that no commercial operation would ever dare reach.
After completing my schooling in Skardu, I moved to Islamabad to pursue a Computer Science degree — chasing a different kind of future. But the mountains came with me, as they always do for those from Baltistan.
I started Savor of Baltistan because I watched brands sell "Himalayan" products with packaging fancier than their provenance — products blended, diluted, or re-sourced from markets far from any mountain. I knew what the real thing felt like. I knew where it came from. I knew the people who collected it.
I am not a distributor, not a reseller, not a marketer who visited once. I am from here. This is my homeland. Every product that bears this name has been sourced with my own eyes, verified with my own knowledge, and dispatched with my own hands.
"I am building this business to make my family proud. To honour the farmers and harvesters of Gilgit-Baltistan who deserve better recognition. And to give you something that is truly, uncompromisingly real."
Savor of Baltistan is my answer. It is a direct line from the highest-altitude rocks of Ghanche to your home. The mountains sent you something good. I am just the person who made sure it arrived unchanged.
Every product is traceable to its exact origin. No middlemen, no mass-market dilution. What nature created in Ghanche is what you receive.
We don't just sell products — we carry centuries of Balti tradition in every package. This is not a modern invention; it is an ancient gift, finally accessible.
We name the district. We name the altitude. The founder's face and story are on the brand. Specificity is our highest form of trust.
No additives, no fillers, no compromises. The standard is simple: if it doesn't meet the purity we grew up with, it doesn't leave Ghanche with our name on it.
Savor of Baltistan gives harvesters and farmers of Gilgit-Baltistan direct market access they have never had. We are not extracting — we are amplifying.
A young founder from Ghanche, studying CS, building something his nation can be proud of. This brand has a human soul behind it, and that soul is still at the beginning of its story.
